Psychiatric services

  • Purpose:

This in-depth assessment is designed to provide a thorough understanding of an individual's psychological and psychiatric functioning, including cognitive abilities, personality traits, emotional state, and adaptive behaviors. Unlike a standard medication management intake, this evaluation is ideal for individuals who are not yet diagnosed, have a complex interplay of symptoms, or are uncertain about the diagnoses or treatments that best fit their needs. We offer this service to both children and adults, including those who suspect they may have ADHD but have not yet been formally diagnosed.

This evaluation culminates in a formal, written report that integrates findings from various testing measures and tools, beyond the clinical interview and history, to provide a comprehensive diagnostic picture and clear treatment recommendations.

    Evaluation Process:

    1. Intake Interview: A detailed discussion of the individual's history, symptoms, and goals.

    2. Psychological Testing: Administration of standardized tests to assess various aspects of psychological functioning, including:

      • Personality tests: Assess personality traits, coping mechanisms, and emotional functioning.

      • Neuropsychological tests: Evaluate cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and executive functioning.

    3. Clinical Interview: An in-depth exploration of the individual's symptoms, experiences, and coping mechanisms.

    4. Diagnostic Assessment: A comprehensive integration of findings from the intake interview, psychological testing, and clinical interview to clarify the diagnostic picture and determine an appropriate diagnosis, if necessary.

    5. Treatment Recommendations: A personalized treatment plan developed based on the evaluation findings, discussed in a complementary 30-minute follow-up session. This plan may include a range of interventions, not necessarily limited to medication management. Options could focus on lifestyle adjustments, holistic or integrative interventions, or targeted psychotherapy recommendations, depending on the individual’s needs.

Who Should Choose a Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation?

This evaluation is distinct from a typical medication management intake and is particularly suited for:

    • Individuals who have not yet been diagnosed with a mental health condition and are seeking clarity.

    • Individuals experiencing a complex mix of symptoms and are unsure what diagnosis or treatment approach best fits their situation.

    • Adults or children who suspect they have ADHD but have not been formally diagnosed.

    • Individuals looking for a detailed, formal written report that integrates outside testing measures and provides a clear, personalized treatment plan.

    • Individuals seeking a holistic approach that includes lifestyle interventions or therapeutic recommendations beyond medication.

    Key Benefits:

    • Accurate Diagnosis: This thorough evaluation provides the clarity needed to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.

    • Personalized Treatment: A tailored plan based on extensive data from testing and interviews, not limited to medication—other options include lifestyle changes, holistic treatments, or psychotherapy.

    • Comprehensive Understanding: Helps individuals and their families better understand the interplay of strengths and challenges.

    • Formal Report: Leave the session with a formal written document outlining the findings and personalized treatment plan.

    Appointment Details:

This comprehensive evaluation is 90 minutes long and includes a 30-minute follow-up to review findings and collaboratively establish a treatment plan that fits the individual's needs.

Important Information for ADHD & Stimulant Medication Management:

For individuals seeking treatment for ADHD that may include stimulant medications, New York State regulations require the initial evaluation to be completed in person. Individuals prescribed stimulant medications are also required to complete at least one in-person follow-up appointment annually as part of ongoing care.

    Pricing:

    Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation: $650

ADHD Evaluation for Established Client (60 min): $400

  • Purpose:

To provide comprehensive medication management for individuals with a variety of psychological conditions, including:

    Mood Disorders: Depression, bipolar disorder

Anxiety Disorders: Generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder

Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder*

Trauma and Related Disorders: Posttraumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder

For individuals seeking medication management for ADHD, a diagnosis should already be established either through our Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation process or by a previous qualified provider. While prior records are not always required, supporting documentation may be helpful in ensuring continuity and individualized care.

    Medication Management Process:

Initial Assessment: A thorough evaluation to determine the underlying cause of symptoms and identify any potential contributing factors.

Medication Selection: Careful consideration of an individual's symptoms, medical history, and preferences to determine the most appropriate medication approach.

Medication Monitoring: Regular follow-up appointments to monitor effectiveness, adjust dosages as needed, and address side effects or concerns.

Education: Providing information about medications, including their potential benefits, risks, and strategies for managing side effects.

Coordination of Care: Working closely with other healthcare providers, such as therapists or psychiatrists, to support comprehensive treatment.

    Integrated Psychotherapy Option:

For individuals seeking a more comprehensive approach, extended appointments may be available to incorporate psychotherapy directly into medication management visits with your prescriber/provider. This integrated approach allows additional time to explore concerns more deeply, process challenges, and receive therapeutic support alongside medication management when clinically appropriate.

Longer sessions that include psychotherapy are available at an additional cost. Please contact our office for provider-specific pricing and availability.

    Who Should Consider Medication Management:

    • Individuals with a diagnosis of a psychological condition

    • Individuals experiencing symptoms of a psychological condition but who have not yet been diagnosed

    • Individuals who are not responding adequately to non-pharmacological treatments, such as therapy

Please Note: Medication management is often used in conjunction with other forms of treatment, such as psychotherapy. We believe in a collaborative approach and encourage a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each individual's needs.

    Pricing:

New Patient Medication Management Intake: $300, $350 with Senior NP

Medication Management Follow-Up (30 minutes): $150, $175 with Senior NP

Medication Management Follow-Up (60 minutes): $300, $350 with Senior NP

  • Are you worried about your child's development? Or are you an adult who has concerns about social challenges and repetitive behaviors? Our autism screening services can help you get the answers you need. We offer a quick and easy assessment to see if you or your child might benefit from further evaluation.

    Purpose

To provide a preliminary assessment for individuals suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This screening can help identify potential cases early and facilitate timely referrals for further evaluation and diagnosis.

    ASD Screening Process

    1. Initial Assessment: A brief assessment is conducted, often consisting of several questionnaires and clinical interview with the client or caregiver. This assessment gathers information about the individual's social communication, social interaction, and repetitive behaviors.

    2. Screening Tools: Standardized screening tools, such as the Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ), Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ), Autism Spectrum Screening Questionnaire, or others may be used to gather objective data.

    3. Referral: If the screening results indicate a high likelihood of ASD, the individual will be referred for a comprehensive evaluation with a qualified professional to confirm the diagnosis.

Who Should Consider an ASD Screening?

    • Parents or caregivers of children who may be exhibiting signs or symptoms of ASD, such as delayed speech, repetitive behaviors, or difficulty with social interactions.

    • Adults who suspect they may have ASD.

    • Healthcare providers who are concerned about a patient's development or behavior.

    Key Benefits of Early Screening

    • Early Identification: Screening can help identify potential cases of ASD early, allowing for timely intervention and support.

    • Improved Outcomes: Early intervention can lead to better outcomes for individuals with ASD, including improved social communication, adaptive skills, and overall quality of life.

    • Reduced Anxiety: Early screening can provide families with answers and reduce anxiety related to concerns about their child's development.

Note: Screening is not a definitive diagnosis. A comprehensive evaluation by a qualified professional is necessary to confirm a diagnosis of ASD.

  • What This Visit Is

This comprehensive 90-minute consultation is designed for individuals whose health story involves multiple systems, chronic symptoms, or unanswered questions.

Whether you’re navigating autoimmune illness, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and dysautonomia, hormone imbalance, fertility optimization, perimenopause, menopause, chronic fatigue, or complex psychiatric and metabolic concerns, this visit provides a whole-body, precision approach to understanding what may be driving your symptoms and how to optimize your health.

Unlike standard medical visits focused on isolated diagnoses, the Precision Medicine and Integrative Health Assessment connects the dots between your immune, hormonal, metabolic, neurological, and psychological systems—helping you better understand why your body may be out of balance and how to restore it.

    What to Expect

Your evaluation begins before you arrive. Your clinician completes an in-depth review of your prior labs, medical records, and supplement and medication history to identify patterns and uncover potential missed connections.

During your 90-minute consultation, you will:

    • Build a functional timeline of your health, mapping symptom evolution, environmental triggers, and key life events.

    • Review relevant lab and diagnostic data, including opportunities for advanced or functional testing.

    • Explore how your hormones, immune function, gut health, and nervous system interact to affect energy, mood, and overall well-being.

    • Receive personalized nutritional, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations tailored to your unique physiology.

    • Discuss targeted pharmaceutical and integrative interventions, when appropriate, to support symptom relief and long-term healing.

    • Leave with a clearly outlined Precision Medicine Roadmap—a structured summary of findings and next steps to guide your ongoing care.

    Who This Is For

This appointment is ideal for individuals who:

    • Have seen multiple specialists but still lack clear answers or sustained improvement.

    • Suspect their symptoms are part of a broader pattern involving autoimmune, hormonal, or nervous system dysregulation.

    • Experience overlapping physical and mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, fatigue, chronic pain, brain fog).

    • Are interested in advanced, whole-body, evidence-based care that integrates functional and conventional medicine.

    • Want a practitioner who can synthesize complex information, think outside the box, and create a plan that truly fits their needs.

    The Goal

To bring clarity and direction to complex health concerns through a personalized, data-driven, and integrative approach.

By identifying root causes and understanding how your body systems interact, the goal is to move beyond symptom management toward lasting healing and resilience.

    Pricing:

Precision Medicine and Integrative Health Assessment Intake (90 minutes): $600
Precision Medicine and Integrative Health Follow-Up (30 minutes): $175
Precision Medicine and Integrative Health Follow-Up (60 minutes): $350

  • Purpose:

Provided under the strict supervision of a highly-trained professional, ketamine therapy modulates the brain's glutamate system and enhances the brain's neuroplasticity (brain's ability to make new connections).

    Who Should Choose Ketamine Therapy?

Ketamine therapy is not a first-line treatment, as such it is best suited for:

    • Individuals who have not had success in treating conditions such as severe treatment resistant major depressive disorder, PTSD, bipolar disorder, or OCD which have not responded to traditional therapies.

    Key Benefits:

    • Rapid Response: Unlike other standard therapies which may have taken 4-6 weeks to respond, ketamine therapy works within hours to a few days.

    • Less Frequent Treatment: Initially may take around 3 doses per week and in time will often transition to maintenance dosing as positive results last longer.

    • Longer Lasting Effects: Though the initial immediate effects wear off, ketamine therapy provides long lasting symptom relief which can extend for weeks and months.

    • Reduce Medication Dependence: Reduces dependence on other medications, potentially allowing for lower dosing and minimizing side effects. Please note weaning of any medication should be done under the supervision of a medical professional.

    Evaluation Process:

    1. Intake Appointment: An in-depth discussion of the individual's medical and mental health history, symptoms, and goals.

    2. Physical: A brief physical which includes a cardiovascular assessment.

    Appointment Details:

For new patients interested in ketamine therapy, who would like a consultation, we offer a free 15 minute consultation phone call.

Patients who are new to ketamine therapy will need to have an initial in-office dosing appointment and chaperone for after the appointment.

    Pricing:

    New Patient Dosing Appointment: $300

Continued Ketamine Therapy: $350 per month, includes the medication and monthly follow- up

Functional medicine and integrative health services

What is Integrative or Functional Medicine?

Integrative health care combines the best of conventional medicine and holistic approaches to identify the root cause of your concerns while guiding you towards optimal functioning. Our goal is to support the body’s natural ability to heal, but we also recognize that sometimes a combination of functional medicine and pharmaceutical intervention is needed for you to feel your best. Your practitioner will use a personalized approach, including comprehensive blood work, functional testing (see test descriptions below), an in-depth clinical interview, and a review of your medical history and previous treatments. Together, we will review these findings, identify trends, and develop a treatment plan that best suits your needs. This plan may include a combination of prescription medication, dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, and practitioner-grade supplements that meet the highest quality and safety standards in a largely unregulated industry.

Who is Integrative Medicine For?

  • Those Seeking Symptom Relief Beyond Traditional Approaches: If current medications, therapy, or lifestyle interventions haven’t fully resolved your symptoms, integrative medicine offers a more comprehensive solution.

  • Those Who Feel “Normal” Isn’t Optimal: If you’ve been told that “everything is normal”; but still don’t feel your best, we will work to uncover the differences between what is considered “normal” and what is truly optimal for your health.

  • Individuals Seeking Natural Interventions First: If you prefer to explore natural treatments before turning to pharmaceuticals, integrative medicine offers a wide array of effective, evidence-based alternatives.

  • The Health Enthusiast: If you don’t have specific health concerns but want a comprehensive evaluation to establish a baseline of your health, integrative medicine provides the tools to do so.

  • Those Looking to Safely Taper Off Medications: If you are interested in safely tapering off medications, especially psychiatric medications, we offer individualized tapering strategies that may include compounded medications for microdosing, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transition.

Functional Lab Testing

  • Functional lab testing helps uncover why symptoms may be occurring—not just how to manage them. By combining conventional and advanced testing, we identify underlying metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory patterns that may influence both physical and mental health.

Each test is selected based on your symptoms, history, and goals, creating a personalized, evidence-based care plan tailored to your unique needs.

  • Includes:

    • Complete Blood Count (CBC): Evaluates immune health and screens for signs of inflammation or other underlying concerns.

    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): Assesses kidney function, liver health, and electrolyte balance.

    • Lipid & Glucose Markers: Cholesterol profile, hemoglobin A1C, insulin, leptin, and apolipoproteins.

    • Vitamin & Mineral Status: B vitamins, vitamin D, zinc, copper, and comprehensive iron studies with ferritin.

    • Thyroid Profile: TSH, Free T3, Total T3, Free T4, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies.

Even “normal” lab results can sometimes miss subtle patterns of insulin resistance or nutrient depletion that may impact mood, metabolism, and energy levels.

  • Common panels may include:

    • Estradiol, estrone, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S, LH, FSH, prolactin, and AMH

    • Cortisol, ACTH, aldosterone, renin, and cortisol-binding globulin

DUTCH Testing: Advanced urine and saliva testing designed to assess adrenal rhythms and sex hormone balance.

May be particularly helpful for concerns related to PCOS, fertility optimization, PMS/PMDD, perimenopause, fatigue, and “tired-but-wired” presentations.

  • Markers may include:

    • High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) and ESR

    • ANA and symptom-specific autoimmune antibodies

    • Histamine and mast-cell activity markers

    • Gliadin and transglutaminase antibodies related to gluten sensitivity

Low-grade inflammation can contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, and changes in mood and overall well-being.

    • GI-MAP Stool Analysis: Evaluates the microbiome, digestion, and potential pathogens

    • Total Toxin Burden: Screens for mold, heavy metals, pesticides, and environmental chemicals

    • IgG/IgE Food Sensitivity Testing: Identifies delayed and immediate immune reactions

    • Neural Zoomer: Assesses potential neuro-autoimmune and neuroinflammatory patterns

    • Tick-Borne Diseases 2.0: Evaluates acute and chronic tick-borne infections

    • Genesight Testing: Pharmacogenomic guidance for psychiatric medication selection

    • Genetic Lifehacks Pro Report: Evaluates gene variants associated with methylation, detoxification, and hormone pathways

These panels may provide additional insight into concerns such as chronic fatigue, long COVID, dysautonomia, MCAS, POTS, neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD, and other complex syndromes.

  • Testing recommendations are individualized following your initial consultation.

Most foundational labs may be billed through insurance, and our providers make every effort to maximize traditional testing options whenever appropriate. Specialty panels are self-pay and may be completed in-office or shipped directly to your home.

Please inquire for current pricing and available testing options.

Our team will help guide you toward the most clinically appropriate testing and interpret your results within the context of your broader integrative care plan.

  • Our providers actively participate in ongoing education and professional development through leading functional medicine and integrative psychiatry organizations.

As research evolves, our testing options may continue to expand and adapt to reflect the latest evidence and emerging science.

We encourage you to discuss with your provider which testing options may best align with your individual health goals and needs.
